350 International Climate Day of Action
We Did It!
On October 24, hundreds of millions of people came together in over 181 different countries to celebrate the 350.org International Day of Climate Action. In Gettysburg, Farmhouse teamed up with the Gettysburg Environmental Concerns Organization (GECO) and dozens of different groups in the local community to organize an event. At 3:50pm, over 200 people gathered together to rally for Climate Action. Even President Lincoln made an appearance! At the culmination of the event, the crowd formed a giant human 3-5-0 and took an aerial photograph. Our photo was one of over 20,000 submitted from actions around the world that day, all of which be hand-delivered to the UN Headquarters and used to generate support for a bold and equitable Climate Treaty at the 2009 Climate Summit in Copenhagen this December.
